DailyQ #65: What should I do without a startup investment?

I am a start-up and I don’t have the initial investment needed to start. What should I do? In this week’s episode of “The Daily Question,” Troy Hoffman gives his advice on a dilemma that almost every entrepreneur faces. A lot of the time, big ideas need big money to execute. Here’s Troy’s advice for you.

I recently heard someone say something that I couldn’t agree with more. Every Fortune 500 company started with one person in one place doing one thing. Even Jeff Bezos started small and built his empire slowly. People start with nothing and build with nothing. When you believe in what you are doing, you will find a way.

Start by doing what you can with what you’ve got. It doesn’t need to be perfect. Perfection is the enemy of execution. The first marketing material I could afford were business cards. The front side simply said, “Troy Hoffman” with the logo, address, and phone number. The back just had the logo.

Do what you gotta do to make it happen! Live off the dollar menu if you have to. Don’t make excuses for your life. This is your opportunity to become someone. Real entrepreneurs are resourceful and hungry. They have a burning desire that keeps them up at night. Do whatever it takes to build your vision.

What do you need to do to build your vision?

Now go and live your destiny!
