A Still Mind Is Heaven

When I first heard this from My Mentor Dr. Robert Dee Macdonald, I thought he was crazy.⠀

I already have so much to think about, so many problems that need to be solved...⠀

My mind gets chaotic and I start spinning in 100 directions and quickly become ineffective.⠀

If you want to bring peace to the chaos of your mind, here is what you need to do...⠀

First focus your mind. Pay attention to your breathing.⠀
⠀
Pay attention to the thing that is creating the problem or feeling in your body.⠀
⠀
Where are you having this feeling in your body?⠀
⠀
Once you identify where the feeling of stress and tension that’s causing the chaos in your mind is coming from...⠀
⠀
Ask yourself, “Where is the ‘I’ that sees this in myself? Where in my mind am I noticing this about myself?”⠀
⠀
The “I” that sees that is what I am focusing on now.⠀
⠀
Then ask, “Where is the ‘I’ that sees the problem In my body?”⠀
⠀
“Where is the ‘I’ that notices that, and what shape, size, weight, temperature, color, texture is it?”⠀
⠀
Every layer you do this on calms your mind from all the chaotic chatter, and soon releases the negative emotions trapped in your body.⠀

That negative energy disappears.⠀
⠀
