WAKE UP EVERYDAY DOING TWICE WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU.

When I was 12 years old, I naturally lived this principle, and so did Jody Allen, Marc Chancery, and Jason Lee.

We all worked for Alan Lau China Garden in Merritt Island, Florida.

There is nothing he asked of us we wouldn’t do.

We had competitions between us on who could cut more shrimp, wash more dishes faster, clean the bathrooms better, roll more egg rolls in an hour.

We all took massive pride in being a dishwasher for him and went above and beyond daily.

Notice I said nothing about us being on time! This was not our strong suit!

Yet when we worked, we grinded hard.

Now, today there is nothing I won’t or can’t do.

I will jump in a garbage dumpster still to this day if I need to clean it out and won’t think twice.

See, because I got paid $2/hour at the time and acted more like a $7/hour person, I can live at a level few ever will today.
